Ningbo Oriental Ship Design Institute Co., Ltd was established in 1999, specializing in ship and marine engineering design. We have been awarded as the deputy director unit of China Ship Building Engineering Association, permanent the deputy director unit of Zhejiang Ship Building Engineering Association, the vice presidential unit of Zhejiang Navigation Association and the deputy presidential unit of Ningbo ship Industry Association.  Also, We achieved “Class A Ship Designing Company”, in Zhejiang Province in 2004. Oriental owns ISO9001:2008 certificate, city level industry R&D center, national level ship designing technical service platform, undertakes special ship designing research and industrialization etc from then on, we acquired honors from government continuingly: THE HUNDRED LEADING INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES, NINGBO KEY INDUSTRIAL DESIGNING ENTERPRISES, NINGBO HIGH-TECH ENTERPRISES, NINGBO INDUSTRIAL INNOVATION AND CREATION SERVICE DEMONSTRATION ENTERPRISE, and THE TEN LEADING INDUSTRIAL DESIGNING ENTERPRISES.

There are over 60 staffs and 70% have bachelor degree, 20 engineer. We are a professional design team.

The Oriental has been equipped with the most advanced Compass, SB3DS 3.2 software, large laser engineering machines, plotters, scanners and copiers etc. Oriental also accumulates complete set of knowledge of conventions, rules, classifications and ship standards of ship and marine industry.
    
The Oriental has researched and developed a complete database of various ship types, which are economical, eco and user friendly with excellent performance. The ship types include below 60,000DWT bulk ship, multi-functions ship, container ship, oil and chemical tanker, self-unloading vessel, floating oil recovery ship, refrigerated ship, piling barge, tube, dredger, hopper barge, deck carrier etc.  Our products are popular both at home and abroad. Oriental builds a cooperative relation with CCS, BV, RINA, NK, Kr and ZC, etc.  Oriental also builds astrategic and cooperative partnership with numerous industry giants, such as CMC, Taiwan Zhongxin Corp., Korea TMS, etc.
